Yes!  Since every electrical and mechanical problem generates a unique vibration frequency, you can program your vibration analysis device to pick and choose which frequency’s or problems to detect.

Do I always need an analyst to diagnose my equipment?

This might seem contradictory, but with the emergence of IoT the use of a vibration analyst to setup your vibration program is needed.  But, once in place and devices are programmed all detection and alerts run on their own.
